Two Des Moines residents have been charged for being over the limit of bluegills.

It happened at Lake Ahquabi on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Department of National Resources, Win Maw and Alom Sayabongchana have been charged with five counts each of being over the limit of fish.

They allegedly exceeded their daily limit by 128 bluegills.

The two face three years' suspended fishing license and damages totaled $577.50.

Maw and Sayabongchana were turned in by a nearby angler who called the Turn in Poachers Hotline.
