DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Ever want to get in the head of the artists and writers who've created some of the most memorable comic book superheroes of all time?  You'll get that chance Thursday, June 18 at the Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque.

The class starts at 6:30 p.m. in the third floor Aigler Auditorium.  Author Terry Frisk will talk about the creators of well-known superheroes like Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

He'll also examine the history of comic books and the impact they've had on our culture.

Frisk started drawing a weekly comic strip for his local paper at age 13 and later studied to be a comic book artist at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

The event is free and open to the public.  For more information, call the library at 563-589-4225 or visit their website at www.dubuque.lib.ia.us.
