WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Changes to how the City of Waterloo handles animal control calls and stray animals began today.

While the City of Waterloo Animal Control Services will continue to answer all animal control calls for Waterloo and Cedar Falls, they will no longer house the stray animals picked up by officers. Those animals are now being brought to the Cedar Bend Humane Society at 1166 W. Airline Highway in Waterloo.

If you lose your animal, you should report it to both Waterloo Animal Control at 319-291-4440 and the Cedar Bend Humane Society at 319-232-6887.

Lost animals are to be picked up at the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
