DES MOINES (KWWL) - Volunteers from Iowa are in Oklahoma and Texas after storms, flooding and tornadoes.

In Texas, flash floods and extreme weather battered over 100 counties, more than a third of those in the state.

25 counties in Oklahoma are also impacted.

The American Red Cross says seventeen disaster workers from Iowa have deployed to the two states over the last few weeks.  12 have gone to Texas, and 5 have gone to Oklahoma.
