Posted: Updated:
Hoiberg Mania is reaching a fever pitch, and Chicago Bull's managment made the decision today that they were firing Head Coach Tom Thibodeau.

Fred Hoiberg, who leads the Iowa State Cyclones, is rumored to be their first choice to fill the position. It's got some Cyclone fans worried Hoiberg might grab that Bull by the horns.

"Personally, as an Iowa State fan, I would like to keep him," said Kate Winterink.

Others say they'd miss him, but it might be the price of having a talented coach.

"You have to realize, he's a sharp guys," said Bruce Clark, who organizes watch parties for ISU alums in Black Hawk county. "We have to respect his judgement. He's going to do what he thinks is best for him, his family, and his career."

Hoiberg's ambitions in the NBA are no secret -- and his connections with the Bulls could seal the deal. On the other hands, Hoiberg has a contract unitl 2023.

"It's probably going to happen sometime," said Wayne Whipps, and ISU fan.

"... I just hope it's not now," he added.

Still -- Hoiberg isn't talking, so there's no word. Rumor is though, an offer could come by this weekend.
