LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A couple is injured after being involved in vehicle crash in Linn County.

It happened just after 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon on North 10th Street at White Gate Court. Police say a 31-year-old John Blaha of Hastings, Minnesota was going northbound on White Gate Court in his Ford Explorer when he attempted to do a U-turn and hit a Ford F-150 truck.

32-year-old Kathryn Blaha was also in the car with their 2-year-old child. They refused medical treatment on scene.

The driver of F-150 was 55-year-old Connie O'Connell of Earlville. 58-year-old James O'Connell of Earlville was also in the car. Both were sent to St. Luke's Hospital for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

All were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Blaha was issued a citation for failing to yield upon entering the highway. O'Connell was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.

The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
