WATERLOO (KWWL) -

People in Waterloo joined together again on Sunday to march for peace in the city.

More than 150 people took part in this march, starting at Mount Carmel Baptist Church and ending at the African American museum site.

This walk was a silent one with only the sound of the drum echoing in the streets. It ended with more than a dozen pastors praying for peace with the group.

"I basically wanted to march just to help empower the community to fight violence and fear. I think with love and relationships within the community we can really make big, huge strides to do that," said David McCullough, "Taking Back Waterloo" representative.

These marches will continue to happen on Sundays for the next few weeks.
