WATERLOO (KWWL) - UPDATE:  Police say Andrew Brewer was involved in a police chase Friday, and now faces charges.

According to police, Brewer crashed his van into the front of a home on Reber and Kimball Avenue.

He was taken to Allen Hospital for treatment, and was then booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.

Police say Brewer is charged with criminal mischief, eluding and several other traffic charges.

Police began pursuing a suspect on Kimball Avenue heading just south of 4th St. in Waterloo.  The suspect took off towards Ridgeway Avenue as several police cars pursued.

The driver then turned around at an area Hy-Vee, and proceeded the other direction.  He eventually crashed into the front of a home on Reber Avenue and Kimball Avenue, causing a tree to fall on the vehicle.

The man was not injured in the incident,  but has been arrested.  He will face charges later tonight.

Police say he was involved in a fight with family at a Waterloo home, and took off when police were called to the home.
