EVANSDALE (KWWL) - Some local students have been putting their art skills to work painting a mural in a hallway at Poyner Elementary School in Evansdale.

Students ranging from elementary to high school have been working on the mural.

It's part of their "Leader in Me" project, a program to help develop leadership skills in kids.

The students have been working on the project for a couple of months.

"We've been working really hard on this, to represent our school through the 'Leader in Me' program," said Ramsha Randhawa, a fourth grader at Poyner. "I just think it's cool, it's really cool."

Teachers tell us they have already been searching for bare spots in hallways to start next years mural and they'd like to make it an annual thing.
