Coe's Konrardy earns All-American honors

Coe College junior Craig Konrardy of Waterloo Columbus high school has been named a second team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Konrardy was the only player from an Iowa Conference school selected to the three teams.

Konrardy becomes the fifth Kohawk in school history to earn ABCA All-American honors.

A shortstop selection, Konrardy put together one of the best seasons in school history. He set school records in at-bats (203), runs scored (55), hits (83), doubles (22), total bases (115) and assists (175). His five triples were tied for second, while his 20 stolen bases were tied for fourth. He set a school record with six hits against Simpson on April 11. Konrardy enters his senior season ranked third in doubles (45) and assists (351), while being tied for fifth in triples (seven) and eighth in stole bases (36). He also ranks 10th in school history in hits (159), 12th in batting average (.353) and 12th in runs scored (102).
