TIPTON (KWWL) -
Bowling, live music, and of course a showing of the film, "The Big Lebowski" will benefit Tipton's Hardacre Theater this summer.

The first-ever Hardacre “Big Lebowski” Festival will be held Saturday, August 8th.  The event will include a screening of the cult comedy film at the Tipton High School auditorium, followed by a bowling after-party at Cedar Lanes.

The 1998 Coen Brothers movie stars Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey Lebowski, better known as "The Dude."  While he'd always rather be bowling, The Dude gets pulled into investigating a possible kidnapping case - along with his bowling buddies Walter and Donny (played by John Goodman and Steve Buscemi).

Tickets are $20 per person, and will benefit the Hardacre Theater Preservation Association.  Other fundraisers are planned for the summer.
