Hillary Clinton broke nearly a month-long silence in Cedar Falls Tuesday.

It was Clinton's second appearance in Iowa this season as a candidate. Opponents in the GOP have been vocally critical of the silence.

During a roundtable with small business owners at Bike Tech, a reporter in the gathered crowd called out, interrupting the event, asking for comment.

"Yeah, maybe when I'm finished talking to these people," Clinton said. "I might. I'll ponder it."

After, she met with a gaggle of reporters, who questioned her -- again -- about private emails sent during her time as Secretary of State, and stored on a private server.

"I want them out as soon as they can get out," Clinton said.

The State Department has said the emails will be released before January 2016, near the Iowa Caucuses.

Another topic of discussion -- revelations that in the 16 months before Clinton declared her candidacy, she and Bill raised $30 million from speaking engagements.

"You're in the tip top echelon of earners in this country," asked one reporter. "How do you expect every day Americans to relate to you?"

"Well, obviously, Bill and I have been blessed," Clinton replied. "We're very grateful for the opportunities that we've had, but we've never forgotten where we came from."

"We're going to fight to make sure every one has the same chances to live up to his or her own God given potential," she added.
