Chance of frost is low, but gardeners can still be prepared

Posted: Updated:

If you have a green thumb, you're probably watching these cold temperatures pretty closely.

Storm Track 7 Chief Meteorologist Mark Schnackenberg says the chance of frost is low.

Experts at Wapsi Pines say they're not worried, but it never hurts to be prepared.

"Just cover them up. That's the thing to do. It'll make you feel better and it'll make the plants feel better-- probably," Garden Expert Connie Schiefelbein said.

Connie says you can use milk jugs or sheets to shield your plants from frost.

Be sure to remove the coverings the next day or you may end up killing your plants.
