EVANSDALE (KWWL) -
On Friday, hundreds of people rode to remember the missing, including Drew Collins and Dan Trelka.
Drew Collins is the father of Elizabeth and uncle of Lyric Cook; both kidnapped and murdered in Summer of 2012.
Dan Trelka is the chief of police in Waterloo.
The fundraiser is the annual 'Ride for Missing Children' in Utica, New York. It's the biggest annual fundraiser for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The goal is to honor the memory of missing children, while raising awareness for child safety education.
Heather Collins was a featured speaker this year, while Drew took part in the 87 mile bike ride.
"There was times it got pretty hard on the ride and I just kind of really thought, thought of the girls and what they went through and that really pushed me to just keep going so I think they would have been happy," said Drew Collins.
The Collins say they will ride it again next year.
They say this years ride raised almost a half million dollars.
