Report finds few sunscreens meet SPF claims

A recent report finds that sunscreens may not be adding up when it comes to protecting people from the sun.

Consumer Reports found that a third out of 34 sunscreens that were tested didn't meet their SPF claims -- some scoring as low as an SPF 14.

Dermatologists recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more for the best protection.

Among those that did meet their SPF claims were Vichy SPF 50, Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50 and Walmart's Equate Ultra Protection SPF 50.

Experts stress that a sunscreen doesn't have to be more expensive to be more effective.
