UPDATE: Reports say Philly train traveling over 100 m.p.h.

The Wall Street Journal reports that sources close to the investigation tell them the train was traveling at more than 100 m.p.h. as went around a sharp curve just before it crashed, killing seven and injuring at least 50.

Update:

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter says five people were killed in the crash.

A train derailment Tuesday night in a Philadelphia suburb has injured 50 people. The train was a northbound Amtrak and derailed in Port Richmond. 

An Associated Press Reporter on board the train described the damage as 'dire.' 

It's believed at least a half-dozen cars of the Amtrak train derailed.

It was Amtrak Train # 188 from Washington, D.,C. to New York City. 

Preliminary reports say the train derailed entering a curve, not long after leaving the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.
