RAYMOND (KWWL) -

Waterloo Works says they will flush all of the water mains in the City of Raymond on Thursday.

Mains will be flushed on Thursday, May 14, beginning with Lafayette Street and moving east through the entire city.

Your water may be a brownish color immediately after the flushing of the system, but they say the water is bacterially safe.

Customers are urged not to plan wash day for Thursday.

The discoloration of the water is caused by minerals accumulating inside the water mains.
