CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - State Farm has awarded a $15,000 grant to Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa to support work readiness and educational programming in Eastern Iowa.  The program in Eastern Iowa supports 1,073 of the total 42,829 students participating in Junior Achievement.

“Having a financially literate workforce is key to Iowa's economic success. We are very pleased that State Farm recognizes the urgency to educate our youth about finances so they are able to succeed in the 21st century,” said Christine Landa, president of Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa. “By having strong partnerships with organizations like State Farm, we are able to help students understand the power of financial literacy.”
