Huckabee in Iowa just after announcing Presidential bid

OSKALOOSA (KWWL) -

Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee doesn't wait long to visit Iowa after saying he's officially in the race.

The former Arkansas Governor visited a cafe and a manufacturing plant in Oskaloosa Wednesday.

There, huckabee pushed his opposition to fast tracking free-trade deals, saying the American worker needs better protections.

"If the trading partner is playing fair, and they're able to beat us, that's competition," said Huckabee. "But when there's cronies involved and getting a special deal, and other countries are cheating and Americans lose jobs I'd like to think the US government would stand up for the US workers rather than them take it in the backside and somehow just have to tough out that somebody got wealthy at their expense. That's not free trade."

The 2008 Iowa Caucus winner also added he hopes and plans to win the state again next year.
