Dubuque Police are investigating after finding two people dead inside a residence Friday night.

Around 5:45 p.m., officers received a report of a subject down inside a home in the 2400 block of Roosevelt.

Police say the call originated following a welfare check done at the residence by a relative. Police and fire crews were dispatched and responding officers found two people dead inside.

The deceased are an adult male and adult female.

Dubuque Police investigators are conducting a death investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Police believe they have identified the two people, but that information will not be released pending notification of family.
