Hawks roll over Michigan 13-7, win 6th straight

 Both starting pitchers were chased from the game early as the offenses exploded in a 13-7 Iowa win over Michigan on Friday afternoon. The victory marked the 6th straight for the 16th ranked Hawkeyes, who sit a half game behind Illinois on top of the Big Ten standings.

Five different Hawkeyes had multi-hit games, led by Nick Roscetti who went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Tyler Peyton added 3 more hits while knocking in 2 runs.

On the mound, Ryan Erickson relieved starter Blake Hickman early in the 3rd inning. Erickson picked up the win, pitching 5 2/3 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs to move his record to 4-0 on the season.

Iowa and Michigan play game 2 of their 3 game series on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
