MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) -

The Marshalltown Police Department says they have arrested a man connected several 2013 burglaries.

Captain Michael Hanken says a retired correctional officer alerted police on April 27 that 62-year-old Dennis Craig Albert was inside the Menards store on Iowa Avenue West. The corrections officer knew that Albert was wanted on several warrants.

Officers arrested Albert after verifying the warrants.

Albert is charged with third degree burglary in connection with the burglaries of the Moose Lodge and several cars parked in the Premier Office Supply parking lot on December 9, 2013.

While in jail, Albert was interviewed by a detective. Following that interview, Albert was charged with two more counts of third degree burglary for two burglaries at the Rusty Nail bar on August 4, 2013 and September 13, 2013.
