CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

While some people call a 22-year-old Cedar Rapids man "Fudd," a federal judge called him "a one-man crime spree."

Kendan Fonville pled guilty this week in federal court.  In a plea agreement, he admits he illegally possessed a Bersa Thunder .380 caliber pistol in March 2012 while he was an illegal drug user.  Fonville admits the pistol had an obliterated serial number, that he knew the serial number was gone.

"Fudd" has been in the custody of the United States Marshals Service since his arrest in October 2014.  At a detention hearing, Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Jon Stuart Scoles concluded Fonville “is virtually a one-man crime spree.”  At just 22 years old, he already has approximately 30 convictions.

Fonville faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years in federal prison, a fine of up to $500,000, plus fees and probation.
