WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Cedar River in Waterloo is about to rise since the City of Waterloo is planning on activating the inflatable dam.

The dam will start inflating on Monday, May 4, and the process is expected to take two days to complete.

It's expected to rise four feet, allowing more boating and river recreational activities.

The dam will remain inflated until the first of November, weather permitting.
