New Hampton teen killed in Minnesota car crash

SLEEPY EYE, Minn. (KWWL) - A New Hampton teenager was killed when the car she was riding in collided with another vehicle in a Brown County, Minnesota intersection.

Daisy M. Rodriguez, 14, of New Hampton was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash that happened in southern Minnesota on Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Rodriguez was in a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Maria D. Rodriguez-Becerra, 22, of New Hampton, westbound on Brown County Road #29 when the vehicle collided with a Ford Edge going northbound on Hwy. 4 driven by Mary E. Johnson, 24, of Fairfax, Minnesota, according to a report.

The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Rodriguez-Becerra was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger in her vehicle, Yesenia P. Rodriguez, 17, also of New Hampton, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Johnson was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Brown County Sheriff's Department and the Sleepy Eye Police Department.
