WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police have charged a 26-year-old man with second-degree murder, accused of killing his father last month.

The stabbing happened on March 20.

Police found 50-year-old Roosevelt Aldridge unresponsive in the bathroom of an apartment located at 1607 Randolph Street. Medical reports show he died from a stab wound in his right thigh.

On Thursday, police arrested his son, Rashod Aldridge. He admitted to stabbing his father during a fight.

Bond for Rashod Aldridge is set at $500,000.
