Hawks Davis says offense can do special things with Beathard at QB

Posted: Updated:

Today the two coordinators met with the media at the University of Iowa.  Hawkeye offensive coordinator Greg Davis and Iowa Defensive coordinator Phil Parker.  For Davis it was chance to set the record straight on quarterback C.J. Beathard. And while Davis wouldn't say whether he personally chose Beathard over Jake Rudock who transferred to Michigan he did say there are some different things he can do with CJ behind center.

Davis Said "You know, we have done a few things different in the passing game that we think fit C.J. in terms of trying to stretch the field.  So I think there will be more of those kind of things.  We will incorporate a little bit using his legs because he has the ability to run."
