IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

If you're looking to bone-up on your roller skating skills this summer, you're in luck.

Iowa City's Recreating Division and the I.C. Bruisers junior roller derby team will be offering roller skating classes.

The classes are aimed at kids ages 6-14.  They'll take place Mondays from June 22 through July 20 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Grant Wood Elementary School Gym.

Instructors will provide individual assistance to each student to teach them how to roller skate or improve their current skating skills.  Skates are provided.

Cost of the class is $25 per person, and pre-registration is required.  You can register online at www.icgov.org/pr or stop by the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center to register in person.  Registration begins Wednesday, Apr. 29.

For more information, contact Matt Eidahl, Program Supervisor, at 319-356-5109 or e-mail matt-eidahl@iowa-city.org.
