IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The Iowa baseball team split a double header with Northwestern on Saturday, defeating the Wildcats 13-4 in game one before falling 4-1 in the nightcap. The Hawkeyes took 2 of 3 games from Northwestern over the weekend, winning their 4th straight Big Ten series.

Blake Hickman picked up the game 1 win, throwing 7 shutout innings as Iowa set a season high with 13 runs and 16 hits.

The offense would get stifled in game 2, however, managing to scratch just a single run across on 7 hits.

Iowa's loss dropped them to second place in the Big Ten standings, half a game behind Illinois.
