WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A report of a man with a machete in the area of Hammond Avenue and Flammang Drive in Waterloo prompted the police to check it out -- and found two people injured.

Police were called to 1157 Flammang Court in Waterloo before 4:30 p.m. Friday.

One man is in custody in connection with that incident, according to Waterloo Police. That person has not yet been charged.

According to police, two people were hurt in a disagreement. One of those people was taken to Covenant Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

There has been no official confirmation of a machete being involved.
