BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

Three people were hurt today in a crash on Highway 63 in Black Hawk County.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 63-year-old Roger Dale Derry of New Hampton was headed south on Highway 63 at around 12:07 p.m. Friday when 30-year-old James David Mekimen of Waterloo, who was headed west on Dunkerton Road, failed to stop at the stop sign, broadsiding Derry's car.

Both drivers and 59-year-old Lynne Beth Derry of New Hampton, a passenger in the car, were taken to Allen Memorial Hospital. All are expected to recover.

The accident remains under investigation.
