Volunteers needed for Ralston Creek clean-up

IOWA CITY (KWWL) - The City of Iowa City is searching for volunteers for a clean-up of Ralston Creek on both sides of Burlington Street on Sunday, April 19.  Volunteers are needed from noon to 3 p.m.  

Crews will meet in the parking lot of the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center located at 220 S. Gilbert St.  Clean-up efforts will include removing wood debris and garbage.

Volunteers can sign up at www.facebook.com/iowacitystormwatervolunteers.  Volunteers under 18 must have an adult present to sign liability forms,


Workers are required to wear long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes.  A hat is also recommended.  The city will be supplying all necessary tools.
