Clayton County's Chief Sheriff's Deputy resigning

CLAYTON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Michael T. Aschinger, the Chief Deputy at the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, announced on Wednesday morning that he will be resigning from the department.

Aschinger replaced former-Chief Deputy Ryan Johnson, who resigned from the office last summer.

Aschinger says he will be at the Sheriff's Office through April 25; after that, he says he and his wife will be moving out of state.
