ORIGINAL STORY:

Waterloo Police have upped charges against a Waterloo man in connection with a possible accidental shooting that claimed the life of high school student Jazzmine Rembert in October.

Rembert was found with a gunshot wound to her head in the basement of 520 Elm St.

Quaderious Spates, 18, was arrested for trafficking stolen weapons, but was later released on bond pending trial.

Waterloo police say they are now looking for Spates on a new charge of involuntary manslaughter related to Rembert's death.

The new charge came as a decision by the Black Hawk County Attorney's Office.
