DUBUQUE (AP) -

A 25-year-old Dubuque man arrested and charged with drunken driving after his passenger was killed in a crash now faces two additional charges of vehicular homicide.

Online court records show Alexander Engling was charged Monday with felony counts of homicide by vehicle, one for alleged reckless driving and the other for alleged drunken driving.

An attorney for Engling declined to comment on his behalf.

The Telegraph Herald reports that the crash occurred about 1:30 p.m. April 5 in Holy Cross.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office says Engling lost control of his vehicle, which entered a ditch and overturned.

His passenger, 30-year-old John Crook, of Holy Cross, was ejected from the vehicle. Crook was pronounced dead at the scene.

Engling is scheduled to be arraigned April 27.
