Hawkeye baseball wins 25 battle with Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (KWWL) -

 The 15th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes kept themselves on top of the conference with 3-1 win at #21 Maryland on Saturday.

Blake Hickman led the way on the mound, throwing 6 2/3 innings, while allowing just one run and three hits. Nick Hibbing earned the save picking up strike-outs on 5 of the final 7 outs of the game.

At the plate, Jake Mangler accounted for 3 of Iowa's 6 hits in the game, scoring one run and batting in another as Iowa moved to 7-1 in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes and Terrapins will play the rubber match on Sunday.
