Iowa City police asking for help solving home invasion robbery

IOWA CITY (KWWL) - Iowa City police are looking for help solving a home invasion robbery.


Officers say it happened on April 3, 2015, around 11:45 p.m. at 210 N Governor St. Victims inside the home say a man holding what appeared to be an assault rifle forced his way into the home and stole money.


The suspect was 18-26 years old, 6'1"-6'3" and weighs around 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket or sweatshirt and covered his face with a pink bandanna.


Anyone with information is asked to call the Iowa City Police Department. Iowa City Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
