WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police are investigating an incident of shots fired that happened on W. 2nd street and Western Avenue around 11:00 a.m.

Police say they received reports of shots exchanged between two vehicles on 2nd Street.

Witnesses on the scene say they heard five or six shots, then people yelling to "get out of here."

Witnesses say there are a lot of children in the area, and they're worried about all the violence in their neighborhood.

A purple van parked on W. 2nd appeared to have the back window shot out.

Police say the van could have just been parked there, and got hit by a stray bullet.

The van has been towed.

No injures have been reported and no arrests have been made

KWWL's Olivia Mancino will have more on the news at 5 and 6.
