WILLIAMSBURG (KWWL) -

A high school coach is out of the hospital and at home recovering after being shocked by a power line this weekend.

Williamsburg police received a emergency call at 5:04 p.m. Sunday.

Girls track coach Nick Nordheim was working with another coach to move a portable football goal post out of the way of the throwing area for a track meet being held Tuesday evening.

While moving the post, it made contact with a utility line.

Police on scene said Norheim's shoes were melted and there were burn spots on the ground where he was standing.  Police say he is lucky to be alive.

Nordheim was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and is now home.  Williamsburg Athletic Director Curt Ritchie says Nordheim is expected to be home for awhile recovering from burns.
