WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo Police are investigating a report of a shooting at a home where a teenage girl was shot to death last fall.

Police responded to a call at 520 Elm Street on Tuesday morning.

Neighbors told KWWL's Nikki Newbrough they heard two or three shots fired.

Police say one "new" bullet hole was found on the house. They also say one person went to the hospital on their own with gunshot wounds.

That address is also where Jazzmine Rembert, 17, was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in October of 2014. Read that story here: http://www.kwwl.com/story/26823399/waterloo-police-investigate-shooting

Quaderious Spates, who lived at 520 Elm, was arrested at that time for trafficking stolen weapons, but said Rembert was holding a handgun when it accidentally fired. An autopsy never determined whether Rembert's death was an accident or homicide, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.

In early January, resident Dorothy Spates found several bullet holes on that home's front porch and spent shell casings outside, according to the Courier. No arrests were made in that instance.

Another resident of 520 Elm, Kristopher Spates Jr., was arrested in June of 2014 in connection with shooting a pellet gun at a group of people near Cherry Street and Independence Avenue.
