A man who fired a shot during a standoff with officers has surrendered peacefully in northern Iowa.
Officers had been sent to a residence near Rice Lake to check on the man around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.Officers say he fired just one shot, and no one was hit.He was talked into giving up around 8:45 p.m. and was taken to a hospital.
His name hasn't been released.
