Wisconsin and Kentucky's Attorneys General make Final Four bet

Posted: Updated:

The Kentucky Wildcats will meet up with the Wisconsin Badgers in Indianapolis on Saturday night; to make things interesting, each state's respective Attorney General has agreed to enter into a friendly wager.

Wisconsin's AG Brad Schimel and Kentucky's AG Jack Conway are placing a bet on the Final Four outcome. If Kentucky wins, Attorney General Schimel will give Attorney General Conway an assortment of Sargento Cheeses, Johnsonville Brats and Leinenkugel's Beer. If Wisconsin wins, Conway will give Schimel a Meacham's country ham from Union County, Kentucky.

"I congratulate the Kentucky Wildcats on their trip to the Final Four, but as much as I respect the Wildcats, I don't think they will get their paws on the wonderful Wisconsin-made products. I have wagered with AG Conway," Schimel said.

Conway responded, Congratulations to the Badgers on their second straight berth in the Final 4, but I look forward to celebrating a Kentucky victory over Wisconsin with brats, cheese and beer from Attorney General Schimel. Our Wildcats are on an historic roll."

The Badgers take on the Wildcats on Saturday at 8:49 that night.
