WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo Police confirm the name of the 4-year-old shooting victim injured Thursday.

Marshon Glover, Jr., 4, was shot in the stomach, according to Lt. Greg Fangman.

Marshon was inside his parents' home in the 1600 block of Mulberry Street when the gunfire came through the front of the home.

Police believe Marshon's family's home was not the intended target of the gunfire.

Fangman said investigators have seized a neon green Jeep Liberty, which was riddled with bullet holes. The car was not registered with the Iowa DOT, since it had been recently purchased.

The car's role in the incident is still unclear. Police say they have located and interviewed the owner.

Police say they have been receiving tips about what happened in the minutes before Glover was shot. They're still following angles and hoping something pans out, Fangman said.

Multiple shell casings were collected from the street outside the home.

Marshon remains at Allen Hospital. He underwent surgery Thursday, and is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
