UPDATE: 

Police have released more information about a stabbing in Waterloo on Tuesday.

29-year-old Robert Fowler-Ortiz had a puncture wound on his left side, near his ribs.  Ortiz says he saw 25-year-old Alex Hollingsworth while driving on Highway 218, and Hollingsworth flashed a knife at him.  They both stopped their vehicles on the Fletcher Avenue bridge and both got out.  At that time Hollingsworth stabbed Ortiz one time in the torso.

Hollingsworth is charged with going armed with intent, willful injury, and violation of a protective order.

PREVIOUS STORY:

One person was injured in a stabbing in Waterloo.

Police believe it happened Tuesday afternoon in the neighborhood of Falls Ave. and Fletcher. Officers spent some time of scene searching for evidence after the unnamed victim showed up a that the hospital. The victim is expected to survive.

Police say a suspect is in custody, but a name has not been released.
