IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The Iowa baseball team picked up a number 24 ranking in the latest Collegiate Baseball Division I poll presented by Big League Chew. It marks the 1st national ranking for the Hawkeyes (17-6, 3-0) since the 1990 season. The Hawkeyes also received votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The national attention comes on the heels of a 3-game sweep over 19th ranked Indiana in Iowa's Big Ten opening series. The sweep was the first over a ranked opponent in 24 years, when Iowa defeated #12 Illinois in a 4 game series.

The Hawks host Grand View on Tuesday at 3 PM at Banks Field.
