ANN ARBOR, Mich. (KWWL) -

Kaitlyn Mullarkey's double plated the winning run in the 7th inning as the Iowa softball team topped #4 Michigan on Sunday.

Iowa (11-26) scored 6 runs in the final 2 innings to rally from a 4-0 deficit to avoid the sweep in Ann Arbor.

Trailing 4-0 in the 6th, Holly Hoffman knocked a 2 run home run over the centerfield wall to put the Hawkeyes on the board. Freshman Allie Wood made it back to back homers in the next at bat to pull Iowa within one of Michigan (31-5) going to the 7th.

Mullarkey knocked her double down the first base line with the bases loaded to give Iowa their first lead of the game 5-4. Wood added another run knocking an RBI fielder's choice to short.

Shayla Starkenburg went the distance in the circle allowing 4 runs on 6 hits while striking out 7.
