Emma Redlinger benefit held in Newhall

Posted: Updated:

A benefit for the family of Emma Redlinger was held Saturday and Sunday .

The 14-year old from Vinton was accidentally shot in the head by another teenager in February.

The silent auction and raffle was held at Jimberly's bar bowling eatery in Newhall following a pancake breakfast to help the family.

The organizer of the benefit and owner of Jimberly's, Kim Murphy says she has kids of her own and can only imagine the trauma they're experiencing.

"I really wanted to support the family, support the community and help raise money for the medical bills and everything else that they needed," said Murphy.

Murphy says all the money from the raffle and the pancake breakfast will go directly to Emma's family.
