Iowa falls 81-66 to Baylor in NCAA Sweet 16

OKLAHOMA CITY (KWWL) -   Baylor's size and ability to grab the boards did Iowa in on Friday night as the 2nd seeded Bears knocked the 3rd seeded Hawkeyes from the NCAA tournament, 81-66.

Sune Agbuke, the Bears' 6'4" center, gave the Hawkeyes fits all night, scoring 23 while grabbing 12 rebounds. Nina Davis added 20 points. Baylor also held a 46-35 advantage on the boards.

Iowa kept in the game with a couple of first half runs, but the Bears took over late in the period. Kristy Wallace and Alexis Prince hit back to back 3's in the final minute of the half to give Baylor a 42-34 edge at the bread. That ballooned to an 18-4 run as the Bears pulled away early in the second half.

Bethany Doolittle led the way for Iowa with 16 points on 8-14 shooting. Samantha Logic added 13.
