WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A young man is recovering after being shot in the arm overnight in Waterloo.

The shooting happened on the 1400 block of Jefferson Street a little after midnight on Friday.

Police said the victim, 19-year-old Marquis Norris, showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Police don't have any suspects right now.

A woman who called 911 after the shooting happened is worried about kids that live in the area.

"On the side the shooting is, I have a two and a half year old that's just right upstairs when it happened. I mean we've got maybe ten kids that live in this block alone, and this is getting ridiculous, its got to stop."
