DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Fighting Saints are set to host two games this weekend, including a "Game of Thrones" night Saturday night when the Saints take on the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

Saturday's game will feature a toilet paper drive to assist local shelters in need.

Dubuque has strong ties to “Game of Thrones.” The program is based on books written by George R. R. Martin, who once resided in Dubuque. He has stated that the harsh winters in Iowa were part of the inspiration for the fringed temperatures the books and show are set in.

The game is also part of the Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup series, of which the Saints hold a four-point lead.

Puck drop is at 7:05.  Tickets can be bought by calling 563-583-6880 or online at www.dubuquefightingsaints.com.
